Step Into the Woods. Learn, Play, and Discover Together.

Pathways To Nature is coming to Knocksink Woodland this April with a joyful, hands-on outdoor learning experience designed especially for families, schools, and community groups.

Our woodland classroom experience turns the forest into a place of curiosity and adventure. With the help of friendly facilitators, woodland education centers and expert ecologists, children and adults alike will explore trees, wildlife, and hidden woodland wonders through foraging games, guided activities, and interactive storytelling. Expect muddy boots, big questions, and plenty of “wow” moments along the way.

Each woodland experience includes a fun nature-led learning session with colourful, easy-to-use learning materials—making it simple for teachers, parents, and group leaders to join in. No experience needed, just curiosity and a sense of fun.

Pathways To Nature is all about making nature feel welcoming and accessible. We’re especially excited to welcome families and communities who don’t always get the chance to spend time outdoors. Come along, learn something new, and enjoy the woods together. See our public event Friday 10th April and booking info below (all free to join but registration is necessary as capacity is limited).

The Pathways to Nature project is supported by the The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine under its Forestry Promotion Project 2025/2026. This support reflects a shared commitment to helping people connect with nature, appreciate the value of our native woodlands, and enjoy the many benefits they offer for wellbeing, community, and the environment.

Open to all, free to participate but booking is essential due to capacity.

Appropriate outdoor attire recommended, like waterproof jackets and boots, as it’ll get muddy out on the foraging trails.
